Lexus Japan has built a museum to display the new RX before its launch in February, though I think it’s safe to say it’s more of an art installation. Take a look at some of these photos:

The site is certainly unique, unfortunately it’s also entirely in Japanese so there I can’t really grasp more than the basic idea. However, there is a gallery with a very nice assortment of RX photos, like this one:

To cope with the worldwide automotive sales slump, Lexus will be cutting its management bonuses by 10% and will be taking its Japanese manufacturing plants offline for two days:
According to Automotive News, Toyota will idle one of its three assembly lines at its Tahara plant in Japan for two days, wiping about 5,000 vehicles from the plant’s production schedule. The Tahara plant produces the Lexus LS, GS and IS models.
In addition to the Tahara plant, another Lexus plant in southern Japan — operated by a subsidiary — will also halt production for two days this month.
It boggles my mind that simply shutting down a plant for two days can result in a 5,000 vehicle inventory reduction, but then I can’t even picture a plant this big:

Wald International, the Japanese bodykit manufacturer that’s made aero-parts for every Lexus out there, has taken a shot at the IS-F. The results, however, are not too pretty — take a look at this rear spoiler/under-spoiler combo:

Luckily, the whole thing’s still in the photochop development stage, which leaves the door open for some improvement. Beyond that, here’s a collection of different angles so you can see the kit in all its glory:

The 2010 redesign of the Lexus RX has finally been leaked onto the web, and it’s a beauty!
I really think Lexus has done something special with this new generation, The LX design cues are obvious and handsomely applied, resulting in great blend of model continuity and design. The most startling aspect of the new RX is how much more masculine the design is. The previous design’s softness has been hardened up significantly. Great work.
And what’s even better is that this has finally seen the light of day — I had received images of this new RX from an anonymous source last week, but was told in no uncertain terms not to publish them. Lucky for us Autospies didn’t get the same advice!
Let’s get to the full brochure, more reaction later:

The super-dropped angled-wheel look notwithstanding, this Lexus GS bodykit from Job Design ranks right up there as one of the best looking body kits in a while.
The GS body-style really benefits from this type of attention, and every component of this kit looks to be top-notch, though I prefer the rear spoiler to the front, where it comes across as overly complicated.
