So not even twelve hours after seeing the Mag-X rendering of the upcoming Lexus HS 250h hybrid, TPP reader Dan posted a link to a series of photos by Mike Ingels, who very well may have captured the first spy shots of the new hybrid:

Considering these photos were taken near the Chrysler proving grounds in Chelsea, Michigan, so there’s every possibility this isn’t the HS, but I definitely see some Lexus touches in the design, including the hybrid lower door trim and the wheel design. Nevermind that in the photo of the four models sitting outside the store, the beige car looks like a GS.
What do you think? Yes or no?

While last week’s leaked 2010 Lexus RX photos gave us our first peek at the new SUV, the brochure photos were anything but spectacular.
Now we have some new photos to look at, and while they’re still of uneven quality, they capture the RX in real life:

I remain incredibly impressed with the new model, it’s a fantastic progression from the outgoing model. Now that I’ve examined it in more detail, I’m seeing a lot more IS than I initially thought, though I still think the main inspiration was the LX.

The 2010 redesign of the Lexus RX has finally been leaked onto the web, and it’s a beauty!
I really think Lexus has done something special with this new generation, The LX design cues are obvious and handsomely applied, resulting in great blend of model continuity and design. The most startling aspect of the new RX is how much more masculine the design is. The previous design’s softness has been hardened up significantly. Great work.
And what’s even better is that this has finally seen the light of day — I had received images of this new RX from an anonymous source last week, but was told in no uncertain terms not to publish them. Lucky for us Autospies didn’t get the same advice!
Let’s get to the full brochure, more reaction later:

Regardless of the rumor Autoblog was circulating about the Lexus LF-A’s demise, prototype testing is still ongoing at Nürburgring, and Motor Authority has the photos to prove it. Here’s a sampling:

Nothing we haven’t seen before, though I can never pass up the chance to post matte black paint jobs. That last photo is curious, why the debadged IS-F?
Check out this photo up close along with a few more over at Motor Authority (and be sure to compliment them on their new design!).

No question now, this is the upcoming 2009 Lexus IS facelift:

These photos, posted on the same site that leaked the 2009 IS brochure, reveal the new IS in some sort of Japanese Korean Lexus showroom, presumably where unreleased models are displayed for anyone to see.
Enough talk, here’s the full gallery:

It may be an elaborate hoax, but My.IS member nyjinwoo has uncovered what looks to be a brochure for the 2009 Lexus IS 250/350. First thing, here’s an overview of the exterior changes:

The front grille has been given the same extended chrome border and integrated turn signals that were included in last year’s refreshed GS. The revised rear lights have also been changed, though the differences are subtle unless compared with the current design:

The most obvious change is the L-Shaped clear accents in the lower corners, though it also looks as though the rear lights are protruding somewhat. This was something I noticed when looking at the convertible spy shots seen some months back.
Interior shots were also included, and the only change I can see is the wood steering wheel:

If accurate, these changes certainly increase the edginess of the IS (I’m particularly impressed with the chunky rear light treatment), but will it be enough to carry the model through its final three years of production?
