I always get a kick out of limousine conversions, and this 2004 Lexus LX 470 is no exception, if only because of its entirely mammoth size. Currently for sale on Ebay, this mega-limo is a full 200″ long, with room for eighteen people.
I’d just like to know what they did to the inside roof, is that mirrors?
If you’re a LX 470 owner, you may want to steer clear of Jamaica, Queens:
I asked the photographer, Flickr user underwaterdemolitionman if he had found this in a lake, here was his reply:
I’m as sure as you are that it’s one hell of a tale but i got there after “the end.” The car, clearly stolen and dumped, had all its windows broken, all its tires slashed, the side mirrors were slapped off and it looks like it was set on fire.
It also looks like someone used the hood for target practice.
In a bid for first place in the “Stupidest thing you can do with a Lexus” contest, an absolutely insane Saudi Arabian teenager decided to drive 150/mph in an LS 430 LX 470 at night…all while sitting in the backseat. Don’t believe me? Turn down your speakers and watch:
I had to fight myself to watch the whole thing, and instead focused on the little details, the plastic wrap on the seats, the brightness of the interior light, just anything not concentrate on the actual events transpiring. How could this even be possible, wouldn’t the car eventually veer to one side?
I remember the first time I noticed one, admittedly mistaking it for a Mercedes, only to see that silver L and think I’d seen something rare, like a Ferrari or a Lamborgini.
Of course, that wasn’t the case, but the truth impressed me even more, a Japanese Luxury brand, created by Toyota. I was and remain enamored with Japanese culture, and to me it seemed like the perfect vehicle. I knew what my first car purchase was going to be.
Fast forward nine years, finally in the position to buy a car, and there was only one choice — My girlfriend and I bought a 1994 LS400 and my obsession was solidified:
Of course, buying the car was just the beginning. I started spending more and more time on the Lexusforums researching and reading up on every conceivable topic, following every single shred of news. It wasn’t too long before my car and Lexus became an obsession.
This website is a result of that obsession. Welcome to The Passionate Pursuit, dedicated to bringing you all the most up-to-date and interesting news on all things Lexus.
My name is Kevin RE Watts and I can be contacted here.
